Employment History
2009 - Present Multimedia Web Developer, Liverpool Hope University 
My current work has involved designing numerous websites for News, Research projects, Clearing, and so on, as well as creating high quality content for the various departments’ websites; all digital photography, shooting and editing videos, creating interactive multimedia, online e-books, designing infographics for marketing events, email marketing campaigns, developing dynamic interactive websites for externally funded projects with HTML5 multimedia content developed in Adobe Flash CS6. I also provide training for all staff members in using the websites across various CMS platforms including Joomla, TerminalFour, Wordpress and other custom sites. Networking across all departments and external agencies. Founding member of Hope Staff Photographic Society, Unison Equality Officer and I also sit on the Sustainability, Equality and Web Steering sub committees.

2007 - 09  New Media Designer / Web Tutor. ICDC. Liverpool John Moores University
Created Alt Valley Vision website using DotNetNuke CMS. Created skins, UX testing, copy, graphics, digital photography, optimised digital video, MP3 podcasts and animations. Leading development with ICDC creative team to maintain corporate branding throughout. Chaired numerous creative sessions for external content providers and managed consecutive creative & artistic projects covering Interactive Big Screen games, radio broadcasts, podcasts, “AVGT” Talent shows (with over 3 million web hits) promotional CD & DVD design workshops, and other creative solutions. Provided accredited training for 100+ learners in community and business, to develop their own sites, with unique graphics, audio and video content. Liaised with OCR and completed all admin for the accreditations.

2002 - 07 Web Manager / IT Training Provider  Dingle Online, Liverpool
Involved in all client liaising to create 20+ websites for SME’s. Head designer of large web-based Capital of Culture projects, created all copy and site contents. Ran courses in web design, digital video film making, graphic design and animation in an acclaimed UK Online centre, also creating dozens of websites for local businesses, community groups, Social Enterprises and SME’s specific to the individuals needs. Websites include Dingle Renaissance, Black History Month, Desktop Pub & more. Managed volunteer programs, all I.T. network and web content development.

Print & graphic design. Point of Sale marketing designer, creating all artwork & merchandise, from Reebok display stands to reproduction Beatles posters, Guinness adverts, Victorian posters etc. for use in theme bars pubs and clubs from New York to Tokyo.

Experience
I’ve been a web developer & designer for over 15 years; everything from developing style guides for content editors and providing nationally accredited training across multiple CMS platforms, to creating fully interactive online multimedia courses. I’ve lectured in FE, HE, third sector, and business arenas, in developing best practice in digital content, from advising UK Online centres providing training to adult learners, to business and local council leaders in developing corporate websites, to working at the cutting edge of content development in ICDC, and creating HE sites at University level for Liverpool Hope.

I specialise across a number of fields of communications, from writing copy, to prize-winning digital photography and digital film making. As an Equality Officer for Unison in my current position, I also take into account accessibility across all media, using subtitles on videos and conforming to W3C standards when developing websites.

Corporate branding, website updates and design makeovers, logos and graphics design. Developed large-scale web sites for commercial businesses, universities, SMEs and community organisations, with thousands of registered users of different levels of accessibility. Devised content architecture for sites across multiple instances. Optimised end user interface for simplicity of use, and tracked user-paths using Google analytics. Advised on Pay-Per-Click strategies, search engine placement budgeting, developed promotional adverts on sites such as Spotify, and integrated social networking sites into existing web strategies.
